About the Artist

Hi, my name is Brandon. I’ve always been an imaginative individual. I first found interest in drawing early on when I was young and living in a country area a few miles outside of a small town. With nothing but my young imaginative mind, plenty of time and an assortment of art materials, I created all sorts of characters and worlds with lively stories. My imagination was fed by the conceptual and storytelling works of artists like Brian Froud, Alan Lee, and John Howe either directly from their books filled with illustrations or through the movies which they creatively influenced.

At the core of who I am, I am a pilgrim of inspiration. This world is full of rich experiences that are all too often taken for granted. Never do I want to underestimate the value of what fills the holes and cracks of this world, there is beauty everywhere.

My style expresses the imagination, utilizing fantastical images and practical story telling elements. I create emotionally expressed experiences, convoking a sense of familiarity. Using an array of mediums such as acrylics, oils, gouache, pen/ink, digital media and more, I produce these emotional experiences. My paintings are often not without their own stories and I want to share these stories richly and widely.
